Artist Statement: What started as a rant about the election made me want to express how much I care about our country, our values and freedom. I deliberately left out the reference to God in the Pledge of Allegiance as it was added in 1954 and I believe, although not backed up by any facts that I am aware of, that it was the start of the current religious interference in our government. The writing on the legs is a stream of consciousness and the words coming out of the head are brain chatter.
