Sometimes the great outdoors is as close as my back yard.  In this instance, some is real -- the dog, the flowers, lemons, birds, ants, butterflies, bees and that annoying LA city bird, the helicopter. And some is fantasy -- flamingos, heirloom tomatoes that I always think about planting but never get around to and chickens to provide fertilizer.
