Pick Me is a commentary on the selection process whether it be quilt competitions, beauty contests, dances or anything at all.  The design was inspired by Erte and Sonia Delaunay.  Perhaps the women on the front are hoping to by chosen by the "surfers" on the back or maybe it is the other way around.
